Schuran Seawater Equipment has been a leading name in the world of high-quality aquariums, filtration systems and acrylic engineering for decades. The company was originally founded by the late Hermann Schuran and has been officially based in the Netherlands since 2022 under the leadership of technical specialist and entrepreneur Peter van Wieringen.
From our production facility in Aalsmeer, we combine German engineering with Dutch craftsmanship. Quality, reliability and customization are at the heart of everything we do. Peter van Wieringen is an aquarium specialist, craftsman and technical engineer with decades of experience in design, engineering and manufacturing. This enables us to manage projects entirely in-house — from the initial concept and 3D CAD design through to production, assembly and finishing.
Advanced Acrylic Engineering and CNC Machining
At our facility in Aalsmeer, we work exclusively with premium materials, innovative techniques and meticulous attention to detail. To achieve the most complex shapes and tolerances, we operate a modern machine park equipped for advanced manufacturing, including precise 3-axis machining and complex simultaneous 5-axis CNC milling projects.
Combined with our in-house expertise in thermal forming of thick-walled acrylic (Plexiglas GS), virtually any shape can be realized. We also manufacture exclusive industrial plastic components, acrylic products and custom design objects.
Over the years, we have completed a wide variety of projects, ranging from exclusive custom aquariums and advanced turnkey filtration systems to public installations, design objects and specialized industrial applications.
